It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ... My favourite season of the year is in full swing (almost) at last and my to-do lists are brimming with plans and ideas.
When moving into this new place the first thing I had decided on was a Christmas tree. A proper one (tall and quite thick). That was back in April. Today I can proudly say the tree was bought early and has been ready for the decor since last month. It's all going according to the plan *tick*.
As far as the decorations go, I think I have always been fond of a traditional colour palette- lots of gold and silver with a hint of red and green. This year I wanted to focus on the basics and not make my space overly festive or cluttered (gotta make some room for the gifts), hence I have been careful about my picks.
First things first, I chose the simple and bright baubles from the Merry and Bright range to be the main focus. It's a selection of twenty and they come in both mirrored and glittery finish. I paired them with warm gold toned fairy lights and topped up the tree with a classic star ornament.
Finally, I thought I could add a season appropriate accessory, hence, I also picked a large tea light holder from the Winter Wonderland collection because you can't have a festive afternoon in without a candle, can you? It is made from glass and decorated with a winter scene detail.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE? WILL YOU BE PICKING THESE UP FOR YOURSELF?
