New from Charlotte Tilbury: Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette
It seems like Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk collection came out of nowhere. I’m not sure, I might have not been paying attention. Anyway… it is out now and it’s all everyone seems to be talking about.
The famous lip combo (lip liner + matte revolution lipstick) has been around for a long time. It is possibly the most sought-after shade and not really dupeable. I haven’t managed to find anything to replicate the hue for a fraction of its price. It really is one of a kind shade, very flattering, muted pink/beige. I don’t always like it on me but it has become an iconic item and it really is quite beautiful.
Now once I’ve heard Charlotte is adding new bits to the Pillow Talk line I was almost settled for getting the Blusher. I could almost imagine it being the most ideal flattering nude shade going perfectly well with any look. Until I saw the eye shadow quad.
I like a good neutral colour on my eyelids and this palette offers all that with a little bit of oomph. It contains 1 satin shade, a beautiful champagne shade with an understated sheen (it’s perfect) which I apply all over the lid. Then it also has got 2 matte colours, one a flattering nude with a rosy hint and a light brown. The first one I wear every day in my crease, the latter I use if I need an extra enhancement. The final, glitter-based rose gold shade is to be applied for more glamorous effect. I’m saving this one for a special occasion.
Overall, I’m very pleased with this quad. I cannot wait to experiment more and honestly it’s all I’ve been wearing since I bought it last week. I don’t ever go crazy with eye shadows as I find they don’t really flatter my face. I do however stick to light neutrals and this palette does it for me.
