WHO'S THAT GIRL
A foreigner / with a degree in english / three mugs of coffee a day / skincare first / gym later. Also known as Bo, a part-time blogger with no schedule but with copious to-do lists.
I didn't go very far with my blogging plans for December, did I? When life gets in the way it is hard to keep up with everything else. Work has been crazy busy and my mood has been continuously down a lot. Plus I feel like I've been battling flu since the begging of Autumn.
It is day 2 and I can't tell you how much I've been enjoying myself so far. *I wish it could be christmas everday in the background*
I just had a quick glance through my November round-up and:
I love skincare. Judging by the last couple of posts it's all I talk about. When I find a product that works I instantly share my thoughts. My skin is quite dry and has a tendency to go through dehydration stages, it's something I've been battling for a long time.
It's Monday and I just put up a festive bunting up on a wall. It's finally that time of the year to go and dig out the tree out of a shed. Or schedule buying a real one if you don't mind the mess and want your house to smell like freshly cut pine (any candle recommendation?).
I could easily go a day without makeup among many other things. Obviously. Facial oil however I could not go without. Ever. I vaguely remember when I first started including it in my routines. It quickly became a firm staple.
When it comes to make up I always gravitate to anything that is hydrating whether it's a foundation or a lipstick. I think a dewy finish looks a hundred times better on the skin. Even when all the brands launched matte versions of their lipsticks I seemed to stick to my old favourites or would go for a semi-matte finish.
In my household at least. Take a shot next time someone asks you what your plans for the weekend are. Literally. I just sigh and say to them, while they're waiting to be blown away with my answer, that I'm doing nothing. And will be saying that from now on every time someone
Serum is a firm staple in my daily regimes. I usually rotate between my trusty Olay Regenerist and recently some of the retinol treatments. However, there are times I notice my skin can become dehydrated. I blame my over the top caffeine consumption and not enough sleep for it.
Oh Glossier. Its popularity skyrocketed over the last year and honestly, I've never seen a brand to be as desirable in a long time. Possibly not since Charlotte Tilbury. I had been lurking on their website prior to the UK launch trying to figure out what was so special. I think I get it now.
I'm aware I will be publishing this before Halloween and there's a good reason for that. I'm just not that bothered. Halloween themed make up tutorials are possible the only ones I'm not interested in watching when it comes to beauty in general.
